Advance the fight against ALS by funding research and mobility solutions, amplifying ALS warriors’ stories, and mobilizing sports and music communities into action.

Our Story

The 723 Foundation, doing business as BEAT ALS, was founded by Matt Stillwell, A country music artist and former college baseball player. Matt’s life was impacted when his college coach, Keith Leclair, succumbed to ALS at the height of his career.  Coach LeClair’s resilience had a profound influence on Matt, leading him to create this 501(c)(3).

After our initial launch in November 2019, we pulled everything back as a result of the pandemic. A chance meeting in Nashville with Staci Galentine, in the fall of 2025, gave our movement new legs. Since that time, the critical pieces needed to help those living with ALS have divinely lined up. We are now a national movement with a top notch team, an incredible worldwide partnership, unique experience based programming, and serious momentum.
